Wh=y would the sample points not be black? If they are the closest thing we have seen so far and depth is relative to the other objects sampled so far, should the sample points be black first and then change to gray as we sample the third triangle?

In the depth buffer, it says the grayscale value of sample point is used to indicate distance. So no matter whether we see the other objects, those gray points mean the depth is somewhere between black and white(maybe middle distance).
