Games are starting to look even better these days based on more innovations in GPU hardware. Nvidia's real-time ray tracing efforts are starting to make their way into games now. Here's a demo of their real-time ray tracing engine:

You can clearly see places where the scene in this slide would benefit from ray tracing. Reflectivity in particular would make the goblet and forearm guard potentially much more realistic.

Today, even commercially available game engines are able to achieve near photorealistic rendering. This is a cool demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Nqq4B-gLGU. I think in the next console generation, we will actually AAA games that look indistinguishable from a movie.
