I'm very interested in light field technology and bought a Lytro light field camera as soon as it was first released.

I found this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fc4sV_nA6qg) helpful in generally describing what light field camera is, and this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEMP3XEgnws) helpful in explaining how it works.

I looked up how image stitching is done, and interestingly, for some cases even lens distortions need to be accounted for. Here's a paper that outlines how to correct for that:
