I imagine that interpolating the intermediate frames for this 2d example would be very challenging right? I assume you need to deform the body first and determine which part we should be interpolated or not. Since the depth of each part is also changing, the occlusion of each body part needs to be taken care of so the body posture is natural (not twisting or interpenetrating).
