What is an example of an explicit form of a line? Having trouble thinking about the difference between implicit and explicit forms

coco

Someone posted this comment on another slide and it really helped me think about implicit surfaces: http://web.stanford.edu/class/cs148/pdf/class_06_geometric_modeling_2.pdf

The ray equation is a good example of explicit form of a line. Explicit equation is good for iterating all points on the surface. Implicit is good for testing whether a point is on the surface.
