I was under the impression the raytracing tended to give noisy images without a high degree of supersampling, which contributes to it being much slower. Do real time raytracers have a special way to filter the noise without tracing many rays per pixel?

ehsan

with real-time ray tracing, is there any level of caching that can be done between time frames (for objects that aren't moving, for instance) or are all rays always retraced in each frame?

Has Nvidia released any papers on its real-time ray tracing GPU? I couldn't find any online.
